Wax works best on a fully dry beard, unlike oil and balm. Towel dry, then air-dry or use a low blow dryer. A dry beard lets the wax grip and shape without slipping.

Scoop a small fingertip of wax. Rub between your palms for 15-20 seconds — longer than balm — until the wax fully melts into a workable, oily texture. Cold wax tugs the hair; warm wax glides.

4Apply & shape
Work the melted wax into your beard from the tips inward, focusing on flyaways and the shape line. Massage against the grain to coat each hair, then smooth back down. For mustache styling, shape the tips between thumb and index finger.
